Chad Jessop had moles removed in late February of 2006. The physician that removed the moles was on personal leave following the mole removal, so eventually in mid March a nurse from the medical group called informing Laurie Jessop over the phone that Chad had been diagnosed with stage four malignant melanoma. On May 8, Chad Jessop had a follow up appointment with a different doctor within that same medical group. That doctor insisted Chad needed surgery to excise the site within a week, or he could die any day! The doctor was informed that Chad had begun holistic therapies, and further testing would be done rather than following the radically invasive surgical protocol that this medical group doctor was suggesting. Unfortunately, the doctor made these statements multiple times, and each time it was in the presence of Chad! As well, the doctor accused Laurie and Chad of being Jehovah’s witnesses on at least three occasions (which was not true, nor was it corrected, as it was not relevant to Chad’s condition). Additionally, the doctor repeatedly accused Laurie Jessop of “gross negligent child endangerment.” This doctor was a general practitioner, not an oncologist or a melanoma specialist. At the close of the visit, the doctor informed Laurie in front of Chad, that she had reported the case to Child Protective Social Services!
That evening Laurie called an attorney who advised her that she had 48 hours or less before Social Services would show up on her door step. The attorney informed her, that if she could not prove she was following the doctor’s protocol, Social Services would take her son, place him in foster care, do the surgery against Chad and Laurie’s wishes, and Laurie would probably never have custody of her son again. Since the medical group doctor, had created such a traumatic experience for Chad, he feared the doctors and threatened to run away. In honoring Chad’s wishes for continued holistic care, Laurie took her son to San Diego to continue holistic
When Chad insisted on hitting the road in the family motor home, to continue alternative therapies and getting further diagnostics, it left a question as to where Laurie’s daughter Crystal would go. The parents of Crystal’s best friend, understood the severity of the situation, and agreed to have Crystal stay with them, so that she could complete the remainder of the school year. Under the circumstances, Laurie felt it necessary to legally sign Crystal over to the family, and gave them all the necessary medical insurance information. While Laurie and Chad were in San Diego on a rigorous holistic program, Social Services was determined to force Laurie to bring Chad in to be evaluated by them. On May 22, they tried to use Crystal, as a tool to force Laurie and Chad to return, when the local sheriff and CPS had taken Crystal out of her 8th grade class, taken her to the school parking lot where she was met with 3 Sherriff squad cars and CPS officers. They began interrogating Crystal mercilessly, telling her that her mother could just be hiding out in the house, and that she really did not know that her mother was getting the care for Chad. CPS was trying to force Crystal to reveal Laurie and Chad’s location, however, Crystal could not reveal what she did not know! They then forced Crystal to go on a police joy ride and show them where the family resided. All of this was done against Crystal’s will, and carried on for many hours! By the end of the day, the family that Laurie had signed Crystal over to, was forced to become a foster care family, or else Crystal would be placed else where.
While Chad and Laurie were on the road in San Diego, many alternative therapies were used, such as: ozone, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, hydrogen peroxide, energy work, Rife technology, hypnotic DNA activation, deep emotional work, and many nutritional and immune building supplements and anti cancer formulas. Laurie also used “black salve” that she purchased from Canada to holistically excise the tissue in question. Black salve was developed by Native American Indians more than 200 years ago, and used in the treatment of skin lesions, cancers, warts, and moles. The “Black Salve” was applied directly to the area in question, thus giving Chad a holistic version of a large border excision. It took about two and a half weeks for the wound to heal. When it was healed Laurie took Chad to a Del Mar dermatologist for a biopsy. The test results were negative of any signs of melanoma! The next two weeks were concentrated on once again healing the tissue to get another biopsy. Upon the wound site being healed, a melanoma specialist did a punch biopsy and a complete lab analysis. The results came in on Friday, June 15th . Again, no sign of cancer could be found in the biopsy and the blood work was in healthy ranges with no distinguishing markers that would otherwise be present in a patient that would have advanced stage four melanoma, as had been previously reported! Over the course of Chad’s rigorous holistic protocol while in San Diego, the expenses exceeded well over nine thousand dollars, an worth every penny!
